Imagination helps Londoners see Vienna from a Different Angle

Following Imagination’s successful 2010 campaign, the Vienna Tourist Board upped the ante in 2011 by staging a high profile acrobatic and dance performance staged in Trafalgar Square on a 21m high vertical wall built beside Nelson’s Column.

Aimed at a 20-something audience, Imagination was asked to promote the ‘Vienna from a Different Angle’ event via national TV, radio, print and online media.

The result saw Strictly Come Dancing contestants dance down the wall for a segment on the programme, which peaked at more than 11 million viewers.

The story also featured on page two of the Daily Mirror and 26 national publications including BBC Radio, The Sun, the Times, The Telegraph, Time Out, TNT magazine and as far afield as mX newspaper in Australia.

With more than 110 media clippings in the UK and internationally, Imagination’s PR publicity reached an estimated 87.7 million people.

Norbert Kettner, Managing Director of the Vienna Tourist Board said: “For the second year running, Imagination has executed a powerful PR campaign which far exceeded our expectations.”
